Alex started riding at just nine years old and hasn’t looked back since! Over the years, she has been fortunate to have had opportunities to groom, ride, and learn from some of Canada’s top Grand Prix Dressage riders, including Leah Wilkins and Jacquie Brooks. Those early experiences helped shape her foundation in horsemanship and care, as well as her attention to detail.
In 2017, Alex opened her own facility—a big step that led her down a new and unexpected path. After taking on a particularly challenging and complicated horse, her perspective on training and horsemanship began to shift. That horse ended up being the catalyst who changed everything and sparked her passion for rehab and holistic horse care.
Since then, she’s earned a diploma in Animal Osteopathy from the London College of Animal Osteopathy and continues to expand her knowledge through courses in barefoot trimming, nutrition, and bodywork. Alex is also a certified cryotherapy practitioner and integrates the America Cryo Subzero device into her practice as well as cold laser therapy—tools that help reduce inflammation, support healing, and improve overall comfort and recovery for the animals in her care.
